Man, you should get a harness with a smoke-bomb release system and use a quite short line; at least if you're not masochistic and don't like getting the smokebomb into your balls/face/lines.
Your pants/skin will stay clean and you don't even feel it :)

is it working fine in helicos ? seems to have good dynamics for tumbling...
