hi all,
i consider buying a supair rr base harness sold without base canopy. could i use a 3rd-party skydiving reserve instead of the original altair base canopy? i'm 63kg plus equipment so i'd rather go for something smaller than 255ft (i mainly fly in organya and el hierro, so windy places)
and in general: nowadays all base systems (which i cannot afford) have 2 underseat reserves. am i sensible to go with just one?

Yes, you can use a standard skydiving reserve. However, you may need to remove the slider and add a tailgate. The removal of the slider accelerate the opening, the tailgate minimize the risk of braking line over.
I did add a third reserve to the supair Acro Base, but frankly I do not mounted the third, too heavy.
