Jumpmaster for helicopter D-bag jumps

For jumping out of a helicopter, it is neccesary to have the help of a third person, called the "jumpmaster". This person assists the pilots to leave the helicopter and responsible for the safe execution of this start method. You can either provide us a reliable person for this task (from the helicopter crew or the organization), or let us bring a professional jumpmaster with great experiences in this kind of special activity. Preamble
 
The intention of this cooperation between the event organizer and the athletes is the success of the event and of the sponsors through performing a spectacular air show.

  
1. Type of show
 
Three types of shows are available. Upon the booking the event organizer has to specify what type(s) of show the athletes should perform.

 Paraglider show: The athletes perform the most spectacular acrobatic maneuvers in complete harmony.
 
Paramotor show: the pilots amaze the audience with doing unbelievable stunts close to the ground with a motorized paraglider.

 Base jump show: Seeing people falling in freefall towards the ground is always exciting for the public. When the nerves are already tight the athletes open the parachutes and perform a nice target landing.

 
 2. Ordering a show
 
To order a justACRO show an inquiry needs to be sent minimum 30 days before the event. This can be done via the “Show Administration Lounge” on www.justacro.com, by e-mail or in written form.

Within maximum 4 working days the event organizer will get an answer by e-mail.

If the athletes are available at the required dates the show can be booked by depositing EUR 500.- to the team’s account.

The transaction details will be given to the event organizer directly.

  
3.  Pricing

 All fees and expenses have to be transferred before the event or paid in cash on the first day. Until full payment has been received the athletes are free to refuse any show.

 The athletes’ fee are as follows: EUR 1600.- / 1 day

                 EUR 3000.- / 2 days

                 EUR 4200.- / 3 days

                 EUR 1200.- / Every additional day

                              The amount of shows per day is limited by point 5 “Flight

Conditions” and to a maximum of 3 shows per day.

Travelling to and from the event: EUR 400.- / day

These prices include both athletes.

(500 EUR deposit –+ rest on spot / bank transfer maximum 10 work days after the Event)

 
Additional Costs:

All expenses have to be paid by the Events Organizer. This includes fees, costs of getting into the air, travel expenses, visas, 3 meals per day, accommodation expenses, overnight stays, local taxes.

  
4. Planning

Travel to the event should be organized that the Athletes arrive at a minimum of 24 hours before the show to have enough time to check out takeoff and landing conditions and to make a proper briefing with the organizer and the crew.

 The accommodation for the athletes has to be reserved by the event organizer and to meet Central European standard.
 
Smoke bombs (for a more spectacular show) are to be provided by the event organizer.

 If agreed Athletes can arrange them as well. Please note that smoke-bombs cannot be carried through airport security checks.

 All shows can only by held in full accordance with local law and regulations. The event organizer is fully responsible for all necessary permissions and legal compliance. The athletes refuse any legal liability if the event organizer fails to do so.

 
 5. Flight conditions

 The Flight box is the airspace where the aerial demo will take place. This airspace (until 1200 m above ground level) should be reserved for the Athletes (and crew) for the time of the show.

 Dry Landing:

Landing Area has to be a min 30 m wide and 80 m long area, free of any obstacles, wires or public. Landing point can be within this area a clearly marked on the ground level 10 m wide and 10 m long spot.
 
A wind indicator minimum 3 meters above the ground which is clearly visible from the flight box has to be mounted in the landing area.

 The landing area should be positioned that there are possibly no massive obstacles (trees, buildings) around.

 Water landing:
Athletes can land on a minimum 5x5 m platform – soft, preferably inflatable – placed out on an open water surface.

Depending on the conditions Athletes can simply land in the water or on a boat.

In every case when the Landing Area is on the water a rescue boat including a trained crew should be available.

 Weather:

Both parties note that the aerial displays can be performed only under suitable weather conditions.

Examples for not suitable weather conditions: gusty, strong wind, fall (rain, snow, ice), no ground visibility from takeoff point, strong turbulences in the air, developing thunderstorm nearby the place of the Event.

The athletes reserve the right to decide if the weather conditions are suitable.
 
Should any conditions not be met the athletes are free not to perform the show. No refunds can be given if the show cannot be performed due to the conditions.
 
 
6. Risks, Obligations

 Both parties note that paragliding and parachuting are sports with a certain risk. In addition the equipment in use is exposed to critical damage. The athletes are responsible for their maneuvers and for using proper equipment for the display and to be prepared for emergency situations.

 Athletes assume the obligations to:

Be present at the agreed meeting point and be ready to perform the show.
Use proper material in flawless condition for the display.
Have a valid accident- and liability insurance for the time of the event.
Not to fly over the public (including wind drift).
Not to take unnecessary risks.
Be available to perform 1-3 show(s) per day.
 
Athletes strive to perform a safe and spectacular aerial demo to contribute the value and success of the Event.

 Athletes have to be available for all forms of advertising of the event including but not limited to photo shootings and interviews.
 
This obligation lasts for the time of the event. The expenses of all advertising projects for the event have to be covered by the event organizer.

 The event organizer assumes an obligation to provide the best possibilities for the athletes and their crew for being able to perform a professional display and support this procedure in every possible way.

  
7. Cancellation

 Cancellation before the Event has to be done in written form.

 In case the athletes cancel the show before the Event the deposit is paid back to the event organizer.

 If the Event Organizer cancels the show the following fees apply:

Cancellation 14 and more days before the event: EUR 150.- will be deducted from the event organizer’s deposit.
Cancellation less than 14 days before the event: EUR 500.-. No deposit will be paid back.
 
If the show needs to be cancelled for any reason during the time of the Event the full price is to be paid. Athletes reserve the right to cancel the show on the spot if the flight conditions are not suitable.

  
8. Athletes’ Sponsors

 The event organizer agrees that the Athletes’ personal sponsors will be visible during the event as well while performing the display and as well while shooting pictures, interviews, video images. Athletes advertise the following brands: Sup’Air (paragliding harness manufacturer), U-turn (paragliding manufacturer), Ingersoll (watches), Red Bull (energy drink), justACRO (the team's own brand), Mormaii Eyewear (Sunglasses). Sponsor logos will be visible e.g.: on Athletes’ clothing, helmet, aircraft, additional equipment, and vehicle.
 
About promoting other brands, companies (not in concurrence with the athletes' sponsors mentioned above) additional agreements can be made.
 
Details have to be discussed latest one month before the Event.

 Please read this part carefully if you order your justACRO Show with a d-bag jump:

 What is a D-bag jump?
A d-bag jump is a special takeoff method for paragliders that allows to start not only from the ground but from low-speed aircrafts such as hot air balloons, ultralights, helicopter. The paraglider is folded in a special bag (D-bag) which is fixed to the aircraft. When the pilot jumps/releases off the aircraft the lines and the canopy slip out of the D-bag and the paraglider opens within 3-4 seconds.
The ideal drop altitude for performing a show flight is 1000 m above ground level.
 Please note the in some countries D-bag jumping is not a regular activity. If you require permission from local civil flight authorities for this demo sometimes it takes long so it is good to start the authorization procedure in time! Helicopter d-bag jumps:

For performing an acrobatic show the helicopter d-bag jump is the ideal choice: The Athletes can start their program in the best possible position with exactly the sufficient altitude. It offers already a spectacular start of the show.
The helicopter used for the D-bag jump should have a rail and enough space inside the cabin for 2 Athletes + 1 Jumpmaster + the helicopter Pilot. The machine still should not be too big that the rotor does not have a big downwash.

 Preparation of the helicopter:
The back door one side has to be removed (generally left, because the pilot seat is on the right side)
The back seats have to be removed (Athletes position)
The front seat next to the helicopter pilot has to be removed or turned back 180 degrees (Jumpmaster position).
  
Task of the Helicopter Pilot:
Preparing the helicopter for the jump
Elevate to drop altitude
Enter the flying box according to schedule or clearance
Slow down forward speed to zero and give signal to Jumpmaster that the first jumping Athlete can climb out
Fly side-slide with the helicopter on the opposite side where the Athletes jump with 5-10 knots speed and give signal to Jumpmaster that the Athletes can jump.
Do side slide until both Athletes jumped out.
Return to base and land safely.
  
Task of the Jumpmaster:
To sit in the door of the helicopter (the Jumpmaster needs to wear climbing harness and get connected to a fix point of the helicopterwith risers and carabiners)
Hold the Athletes’ d-bags (with the help of a special riser) and help their way out of the aircraft (this means leaning out to hold the bag lower than the rail of the helicopter during the jump to make sure that the paraglider doesn’t touch any part of the helicopter during the opening).
The Jumpmaster can make video images of the jumps with a helmet camera equipment.
 
This task doesn’t require special licenses. No fears of height, having experience with helicopter flying and strong hands are required. If you wish we can also provide a professional Jumpmaster with a lot of experience.

Jumpmaster’s fee: 500 EUR/ Event + additional costs (same as for Athletes)
