Redbull-Verigo: final results

Here are the final results of the 1st Aerobatics World Championship, which ended last sunday in Villeneuve, Switzerland.

To tell the truth, however it was the biggest acro competition ever (also with the biggest budget and sponsors) the organisation was way not perfect. There were lot's of problems as well with the material and the size of the raft (many injuries), the size and the placement of the flying box, the smoke bombs (they had a new kind of smoke which burned many harnesses, clothes and the skin also) and all the private boats cruising just below the competitors...and these are all related to the safety of the pilots. The judges received official complains from the national team leaders almost every day related to the results and usually because a good reason. There was another little surpise at the price giving ceremony, that none of the best pilots in the world received any prize money...

Sorry for these dismal words, but this is in my mind still after one week. It was a very long and tiring competition with the most pressure on the pilots, however I believe everybody enjoyed it.
