Judith Zweifel living her dream: reaching the top of 'Mount Infinity'

"I have reached my goal and lived my dream – to be able to fly the Infinity Tumbling. The feeling of flying absolutely vertically over the paraglider many times is impossible to describe. Like all the other manoeuvres which I have learned in the past the thrill of success is enormously large - but somehow the Infinity Tumbling is the icing on my acro flying cake. Ten years ago on the beginner hill I never ever let myself imagine that I might one day be doing such a thing with my paraglider..." - Judith Zweifel, the world's number one female acro pilot tells about her impressions.

"I am very proud to have always stayed true to my ‘Fly like a girl’ principle. I am not yet a routine Infinity Tumbling flyer, but with each flight I learn something, and every new, maybe tiny insight gained in the air gives me great satisfaction. I’m not alone on my Infinity summit – there are so many people who have accompanied me on the way up, and given their unending helpful support. Significant among them are Xandi Meschuh, Manfred Gehr-Huber, Thomas Ripplinger and Chrigel Maurer together with the whole Team Advance, my sponsors Conergy and Lee and my dear friends Thomas and Lisa.

For the last two years my normal flying routine has actually been a non-stop emotional roller-coaster of elation and self-doubt, motivation and defeat, the sense of success and frustration, a rinse cycle of challenge and mental overload, images of success and failure, at once to be blocked by fear and driven on by passion. The result of all this has been an honest-to-goodness debate with myself and what I’d let myself in for, always with my Infinity Tumbling goal in front of me. It’s turned out to be one of the most worthwhile life experiences that I’ve been able to make."

'Mount Infinity', Judith's project to master the Infinity Tumbling is now completed! In the last 2 years all her mental and technical preparation, ups and downs, difficulties and the successes step by step was followed by a film crew, making a half an hour documentary film about her way to the peak of 'Mount Infinity'. Recently, during the final shootings of the film Judith managed to perform 27 consecutive turns in Infinity!
The film is now being edited and will be released in spring 2011!

Congratulations!
