Acrolake Swiss Championships

Last weekend the swiss championships and a synchro APWC took place for the second time in Brienz, Switzerland. After two rainy days the competition started with rested and dry pilots on saturday with two solo and a synchro task in between. On sunday the finals in both categories took place. Thus Jeremy Peclard is the new swiss champion and Spälti Acro Team with Adrian Hachen & Michael Maurer won the synchro competition.

Unlike last year Jeremy Peclard did not have to attack from behind and took the lead right away, followed by Lionel Hercod and Fred Montet. The first synchro run was less clear; Spälti Acro Team took the lead, tightly followed by the SAT Acro Team and Team Alongi was third. In the second solo task the penalties for repeating maneuvers came into play and Chrigel Maurer -- obviously becoming more and more comfortable under an acro glider with each run -- performed the highest rated run, proofing that he has not forgotten how to fly acro while hurrying from Salzburg to Monaco.

Jeremy won the solo final on sunday morning again. Regrettably some warnings had to be imposed during this run and consecutively not all maneuvers were rated, which lead to some more changes in the ranking. Chrigel finished second and Lionel third overall. In the final of the synchro competition the Spälti Acro Team extended its lead with Molinettis to Heli-Rodeo along the quai full of spectators and won the world cup, followed by the SAT Team and the SOL Acro Team.
