Paranoia acrobatix - Zell am See:

After two runs Pál Takáts leads the comp. Today (friday) is cancelled due to a massive cold front. They say tha tomorrow we'll face good weather so there is a chance to make a valid comp here.

Zell is a really nice place, the the raft is in front of a popular city beach - so hordes of tourists are watching comp.

The next Aerobatics Paragliding World Cup event will take place in the beginning of August, at the beautiful Zell am See, which is also one of the most famous cross country starting points in Austria. However the competitors will take-off from Schmitten Hoehe which is facing directly to the lake. The landing platform wil be placed just next to the city center, so thousands of spectators are expected to see the competition and different shows between the runs like BASE jumping, The Renegades, ACRO Fr!tz and Mike Küng. In the final task the best pilots will jump from helicopter.

With 3 successful solo and synchro run the Pre World Championship has finished on friday.

Synchro

The Extremesportsweek has began in Voss, Norway! This year the event is celebrating it's 10th birthday and as always it includes B.A.S.E. jumping, skydiving, paragliding, hanggliding, kayaking, rafting, kiting, big air, BMX/MTB, climbing and longboarding demos and competitions, making it one of the biggest events in the world! Besides the festival with many shows and concerts.

The opening ceremony was held sunday afternoon with skydiving, BASE, hanggliding and paragliding acro shows in front of many impressed spectators.

On saturday the 6th edition of Acrolac was successfully finished with 2 valid solo and 3 synchro runs.

French championship

On friday the 6th edition of Acrolac started at Bourget du Lac, close to Chambéry. It is an FAI2 category event and the french championship so there are a lot of french and some international pilots are participating. It was heavily raining all the night and in the morning, but finally the sun arrived and the conditions got better. 15 newcomer pilots had to make the safety qualification run by boat towing and not all of them passed the selection. Unfortunately there are only 3 synchro teams signed up for the competition.
