Question for AVA Sport acro BASE owners
I would like to know what types of BASE canopies pilots have bought to go with their harnesses?
What sizes in sq/ft fit the BASE container?
What experiences have pilots had when deploying?
About gliders, harnesses, reserves and all the rest...

Hi everyone,
beeing mostly a hike&fly pilot, I have so far been abusing my lightweight glider (UP Makalu light 20) for wingovers, Sats etc.
Now I would like to "upgrade" to a wing thats a bit more dynamic & more resistant to the abuse of fun maneuvers. I can't afford to buy a new freestyle wing, so I'm looking at used equipment here. I have the opportunity to buy a used Team 5 Blue at a good price, which has been recommended as a good "beginner's acro wing" when slightly overloaded.
Hi everybody,
I'd like to have some advice: I want to change my glider for the next season. I currently use an Instinct 2 A, doing SAT,WO,full stall, negative and recently started to try helico. Next season I want to nail the dynamic stall...
Thing is, the Instinct is pretty slow so I'm losing height and often have to use the speedbar. Especially the low trim speed is a problem when flying on the coast (which is next to my home)...
Hi guys,
I'm having trouble with line plan for Thriller X3. In the line plan (http://flight.manual.free.fr/lines_plans/uturn-thrillerx3_plan.pdf) there are 3 lines on brake (BR1-1, BR1-2, BR1-3); however, I have 4 lines on my glider :-) My friend has the same 4 lines on his Thriller, so I don't know if there is problem in the line plan.
I need to order these four lines and I don't know how to name them. Do you know about some other line plan which contains all 4 brake lines?
Hey there!
Anyone had the chance of comparing the SOL Wasabi 2 with other acro harnesses? This is my first acro harness, and last week I used it to thermal for the first time (every other flight has been on the coast) with my NOVA Rookie 28, and I found it super sensitive to the bumps and throws around (thermals where pretty punchy and narrow also, spring conditions :-/). Anyways, was it just me that I need to get used to it or is it more sensitive than other acro harnesses? I had my chest strap all the way done up which was a dumb mistake. I'll correct that next time...
