My reserve is 11yrs old. The manafacturer says it has a 12 yr lifespan. How can i tell when its worn out? Apart from visual inspection can a porosity test be done? Its a X one 90kg.

Im brand new on this Forum
I just started on my journey in Acro
Currently i fly with a normal harness and an additional resevere in a frontcontainer but i dont really like the frontcontainer
currently im looking at the Supair Acro 4 but because i mostly use my motorcycle to go flying packing is a bit of a concern for me.
Does anyone have some experience packing that harness?
If yes, what size pack do you use?

On occasion we hear about accidents and even fatalities associated with the use of base harnesses. I haven´t been able to really find much information though about what can go wrong and what to take care of.

On one occasion I heard that an failed release was due to the release rings not passing through all the way, but not sure if this was a design, assembly or maintenance issue.

Do you have knowledge of things that have or can go wrong specifically with these harness types? If so, please share.

I plan to buy a new reserve and I was ready to by a Nova Beamer 3 light version till I saw in the manual :

" The Beamer 3 light is not suitable for use in the acro discipline"

Is someone know why is this not suitable for acro ?

I know what you will say... Why do you want the light version ??? Because I'm using my harnesse for classic flights, soaring, etc as well and I don't want to be overloaded :S
