On sunday the first solo compulsory run was done with 5 maneuvers (SAT, Helicopter, Wing-Over, Asymmetric SAT, Dynamic Full Stall). Unfortunately not all the pilots had the altitude to finish their program and some of them (like me) splashed into the water just after leading out their last maneuver.Mathias Roten fall into the water just few meters from the beach after his wing cravatted in the Dynamic Full Stall and got 2 warnings from the judges (3 warnings means 30 points cut from the total score).

With 44 solo pilots, 14 teams and 10 hangglider pilots from all around the world the 9th edition of RedBull-Vertigo which is the first official World Championship started in Villeneuve at Lake Geneva, Switzerland!

After two training days and the safety selections, yesterday afternoon the opening ceremony was held in the center of Villeneuve. Today the first synchro run was done with compulsory program (Wing-Over, Asymmetric SAT, Dynamic Full Stall, Helicopter and Synchro Spiral).

However the weather forecast was horrible for the weekend finally 4 solo and 4 synchro runs were successfully done above the beautiful Orta lake in Northern Italy (Omegna). This year I had to notice again that this competition has the most prepared and skilled raft crew and rescue team of all events I've take part till now. Congratulation!

Just returned from Austria where we participated in the Paranoia Acrobatixx competition. During only 2 days 4 successful tasks were done and in the final everybody jumped from helicopter above the beautiful Zell am See. However starting from the mountain we could make only 3 maneuvres (but 5 from the helico), I think all the pilots enjoyed the contest a lot.

Vertigo-Voss competition was successfully done with 14 solo pilots, 4 synchro teams and 4 valid runs.
