Epsilon 7 slightly overloaded to start learning acro ?

Hi all,

I am wondering whether an Epsilon 7 in 26 sqm, 5 kg into the extended weight range, would be a reasonable choice to start learning acro AND for thermal flights and small XC flights in various conditions. I have found one second-hand wing in good condition and within my budget that I should be able to test for a few flights before buying.

Recommended weight range for this size : 75-95 kg,
Extended weight range (also EN-B) : 95-110 kg

I would fly it at around 98-100 kg, and up to 105 once I get an acro harness with 2 reserves.

agl audio warning

is anyone aware of a system (maybe just with a phone app) that one could use to provide an audio warning when a pilot is a certain height agl?

For example if you set the instrument to "zero" before towing up to somewhere around 900 meters, then when you sink below say 300 meters some sort of audio ding or beep or buzzer could constantly play, until the pilot manually turns off the alarm.

I guess I'm bored. Looks like a long winter ahead of me.

ejecting reserve

seems like I had seen video of a system presented at 2019 coup de icare that used compressed air to eject a reserve with great force/speed.

I wonder if there could be a way for SIV instructors to rig one of their students reserves (hopefully they have their main, plus a front mount during instruction) with this system on a radio remote trigger, thereby giving the instructor or someone on the ground the option to attempt to throw the student's reserve as well.

Best low en B for learning

Hello,

I currently use the Gin Atlas 2. However from what I know this is not a wing that does not perform nice SATs, tumbles, etc. What is a good wing to get for a progression in acro. I know a lot of people on this forum say the ozone rush is a nice one to get, any other wings you would recommend? I have heard some of the BGD wings could be nice as well.
