Coronet Peak is situated in the southern Alps close to Queenstown in New Zealand. It offers flying all year around with lift access to the summit in both summer and winter months.
In winter it is typical to launch on the back side of the ski field facing out toward the north west then fly out over the mountain to the south facing landing. During the summer months you can fly from the front (ski face) with warm air creating a nice thermic antibiotic flow.
you can recycle acrobatic runs when the south wind picks up. be careful the south doesn't get to strong.
Talk to local pilots before flying.
