Mürren

Mürren is without doubt one of the most beautiful and most effective over-the-ground training locations in the world! Mürren is a tiny alpine village located on top of a 700 meter cliff overlooking the breathtaking Lauterbrunnen valley. For rusher it is possible to make 1 flight every 30 minutes, but it will become very stressful. However even for the more chilled pilots the rotation will be 1 hour.

It's close distance to the popular Gerlitzen site makes it to be a good alternative option for days with south föhn when flying in the Alps might become risky and turbulent. It is also the flying site of the Acromax competition.

Walensee - Chäserugg

The Chäserugg peak is situated on the Churfirsten ridge overlooking the Walensee. It's height of 2262 meters ASL offers an elevation of 1800 (!!!) meters from the lake's surface. Since the mountain drops down almost vertically to the south the way out to the water is very short (~2 km) and therefore the site offers about 1400 meters for acro maneuvers! This makes it to be probably the highest over-the-water flying site in the world!
