(WIKIPEDIA) : Située à l'entrée sud du bassin d'Arcachon, elle s'étend sur 500 m d'est en ouest et sur 2,7 km du nord au sud et contient environ 60 millions de mètres cubes de sable. Elle dépend du territoire de la commune française de La Teste-de-Buch, à proximité d'Arcachon, au cœur des Landes de Gascogne.

Really great place in India, from Delhi aprox. 12 hours. Villages name is Bir, Mountain - Billing. Best time is October November. If you go earlier, thermals will be really strong and weather unstable(rain). Usually I stay aprox. 1 month, prices are really friendly(hotels, food, transfer, taxi and etc.).
As we know, this is on of the bestest XC place in the world, but if you know what you do, you also can practise a Acro. :) There is no water landing possible. Thermals are really great, in a good day you can fly ~6 hours.. Last year, all days in month was great. :)

Very Good place to learn how to use a speedglider, wingovers, swooping, helico-landings

A beautifull wild place up north.. Takeoff is just 180m asl or you can walk futher to about 300m. With good conditions you can thermal to about 7-800m easy!

Not much height... normally you get about 200m height where the lift band goes all the way down to the beach.

2 different startplaces :

1) NE,N,NW : at 2109m, on top of mountain, easy to start, great to groundhandling/soaring, 5min. hiking from cableway

Around the well known lake Annecy I know 3 take off places. On the north of the lake there are two large start place with rug.

The Schrina take-off is overlooking the beautiful Walensee in Eastern-Switzerland. There are many SIV trainings hosted here however the altitude over the water is really not that good!

Harissa is situated 26 km far from Beirut in Mount Lebanon. It’s accessible by car. From Jouneih, follow the serpentine road to the church of Harissa and then go further few kilometers. It’s better to go with the locals first.
